Evaluating Residents

The faculty assesses residents’ performance every six months. We look for progression in clinical expertise and judgment, diagnostic acumen, knowledge, surgical technique, and interpersonal skills.

For self-assessment, we require residents to take the American Board of Neurological Surgery examination annually. We expect them to pass it before their NS-5 year.
