Stop by the park to kick off PVD Fest with us! The Firearm Injury Prevention Fair will be happening alongside The RI Latino Arts ‘Sabor Latino’ cultural event!
Come learn about prevention of injuries, use of safe storage devices, community organizations and resources, and receive first aid training from Rhode Island physicians!
This event is co-hosted with the Brown departments of EM, Trauma Surgery, Psychiatry, and the School of Public Health, as well as community groups in Providence (RI Coalition Against Gun Violence, Mentor RI, Moms Demand Action, Injury Prevention Center). Together we will be providing education and training on Stop the Bleed and hemorrhage control techniques, motivational interviewing and de-escalation, discussing gun safety, and handing out gun locks and other freebies!
