Yusuke Suita is a Graduate Student in Molecular Pharmacology and Physiology at Brown University, and is a member of The Molecular Neuroscience and Neuro-Oncology Laboratory run by Brown Neurosurgery research faculty member Nikos Tapinos. He was awarded a Honjo International Fellowship from Japan to support his Thesis project for using GliaTrap a biodegradable hydrogel secreting Lcn2 to attract and trap invading glioma cells. This is the most prestigious fellowship in Japan. Only two students are selected every year out of at least 300 candidates and this is the first time this fellowship has been awarded to a Brown graduate student.
