“This is the first room of its kind in the world. There’s no other hospital in the world that has this stroke surgery suite,” McTaggart said, referring to a new state-of-the-art suite located in the emergency department, instead of a different part of the hospital. “So, we can guarantee patients in our region earlier access to this procedure that will open these blood vessels and send them home independent.”
