“The patient successfully underwent an open suboccipital craniotomy and C1 laminectomy for removal of the intraventricular cyst (Figure 2). The patient was treated with a 10-day dexamethasone dose taper postoperatively. Her ventriculostomy was weaned and removed on postoperative day 7, and she was discharged home without adjuvant anthelminthic treatment. At time of discharge and neurosurgical follow-up, she remained symptom-free without neurologic deficits.”
