Background

Rahul Sastry, MD, is a resident at Brown Neurosurgery. He was born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee, and completed his undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering at Stanford University. He then completed his medical degree at Harvard Medical School. He joined the Brown University Department of Neurosurgery after completing an internship in General Surgery at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, MA. He chose Brown because of the close-knit nature of the resident team, the strong clinical experience, and the opportunities for interdisciplinary research and collaboration. In his spare time, he enjoys exploring Rhode Island, watching sports, and spending time with family and friends.
