Overview
The Chen lab is dedicated to advancing our understanding of the molecular pathogenesis of glioblastoma, the most common form of brain cancer in adults. This cancer remains one of the deadliest of human cancers. We advance this understanding through an integrated approach, incorporating laboratory investigations, clinical studies, and computational modeling. We aim to translate this understanding into therapeutic and biomarker platforms through bio-engineering and clinical trials. Current projects in the laboratory include: electric field therapy through surgically implanted electrodes, surgical delivery of microRNAs, laser interstitial therapy, and high intensity focused ultrasound delivered through surgical devices.
