Background
Elaina was born and raised in California before moving to Rhode Island to complete her undergraduate degree in immunology and medical degree at Brown University. While undecided on a field to specialize within neurosurgery, she is interested in the study of intracranial and spinal tumor biology, as well as the application of genomics to identifying risk factors to such tumors and certain vascular conditions. Outside of the hospital, she loves to read, keep the team well fed with baked goods, and explore Rhode Island’s many beaches and state parks with her dog Rio.
