Background

Tori Riccelli is a neurosurgery resident originally from upstate New York, where she graduated from Cornell University with a degree in Biological Sciences and a concentration in Neurobiology and Behavior. She then received her medical degree from Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine, and completed a research fellowship at Janelia Research Campus in Ashburn, VA. Her interests include intrinsic circuit dynamics in the brain and spinal cord and their applications to surgical interventions in epilepsy, parkinson’s disease, spinal cord injury, and neuropsychiatric disorders. In her free time, Tori likes to explore the outdoors with her partner, read the newest (and oldest) science fiction and fantasy, and write poetry.
