Background

Xun was born in Beijing, China but grew up all over the world and finally settled in the Philadelphia area in high school with his family. Unprepared for the exorbitant cost of higher education, he was finally able to attend Allegheny College and Temple Medical School with generous scholarship support. After more detours along the way, he arrived in Providence and currently serves as the chief resident of Brown Neurosurgery and plans on specializing in the surgical treatment of complex spinal disorders. He loves the fact that Providence provides the best of both worlds: opportunities of a big city with the commute of a small town. He truly believes that he has received world-class neurosurgical training at Brown, alongside a team of residents that he proudly considers brothers and sisters.
